В игре присутствует 12 цивилизаций: египетская, индийская, персидская, китайская, японская, монгольская, греческая и римская. Каждая цивилизация отличается особой архитектурой, своим специальным строением и Высшим существом. У каждой цивилизации существует свой тип граждан, пехоты и спецотрядов. Итого, путем несложных арифметических подсчетов получаем 36 разных юнитов, но это за людей. К этому стоит прибавить 6 видов военных машин. Помимо людей вы можете играть и за Фрихтанов. Принцип игры за них кардинально отличается от людского.
