Mystery Tour is a ten-episode atmospheric thriller set in Oxford. The dialogue has been adapted to fit a specially devised intermediate level syllabus which concentrates on reinforcing difficult language areas and revising structures that students will have already encountered. The video therefore provides a source of highly motivating teaching material that can be used either as a supplement to any intermediate level course or as the sole basis for a short course at this level.
The student’s Activity Book contains a wealth of stimulating material that ensures that full benefit is gained from the video. It includes viewing activities, extension exercises, language summaries and transcripts. The video and the Activity Book together provide a wide range of classroom activities that will extend and consolidate students’ language knowledge while also developing their communication skills.
The teacher’s Video Guide contains detailed guidance for using the video and the Activity Book. It provides alternative lesson plans to enable teachers to make full use of the video in a wide variety of teaching situations.
