Пожалуй, одна из лучших в мире программ для игры в Го.
Уровень сложности, разумеется, настраивается. Это последняя версия программы на сегодняшний день. Несмотря на то, что она давно не обновляется, она всё равно является одной из самых мощных компьютерных Го-программ с большим количеством возможностей, в том числе с учебником игры и дебютов, возможностью просмотра партий, возможностью игры по сети и многими другими.
Входит в число Го-программ, использующих метод Монте-Карло.
В 2008 году The Many Faces of Go выиграла компьютерную олимпиаду после добавления UCT к её, основанному на экспертных знаниях, механизму.

Го - старейшая настольная игра на планете, она древнее шахмат. И гораздо глубже и сложнее.
Это игра именно на ЧЕЛОВЕЧЕСКИЙ интеллект со всеми его особенностями, в отличие от шахмат, которые во-многом являются игрой на перебор вариантов и достаточно легко формализуемую оценку позиции.
Кроме того, Го - это целая философия, это игра, имеющая очень глубокие философские корни и теснейшим образом связанная с древнекитайской философской традицией (например, с Книгой Перемен). Правилам Го можно легко научиться за час, но потом постигать её губину всю оставшуюся жизнь. Это в значительной степени стратегическая игра, где стратегия играет заметно большую роль, чем в шахматах, являющихся прежде всего тактической игрой. Го - это целый мир, в который чем глубже погружаешься, тем дальше видишь его беспредельность...

Вопрос: Не устанавливается, не запускается, выдает ошибку. Что делать?
Ответ: Тестировал на 5 разных компах с разной степенью захламленности, все устанавливается и работает. Тем не менее - нужен скрин + конфиг системы в случае возникновения таковой.

Вопрос: Почему год выпуска 2011, а не 2009?

Вопрос: Помню-помню данную игру/программу, а почему я ничего не знаю о о каком-то MFGO Data?
Ответ: Тут ответ (на английском)

Вопрос: Где таблетку брал и как умудрился установить MFGO Data, которая даже с примененной таблеткой не устанавливается?
Ответ: Таблетка от AT4RE. Создание батника на распаковку содержимого msi-установочника тоже труда не составило. Огромное желание иметь именно эту версию, последнюю на сегодняшний день, со всеми прибамбасами, а так же активным использованием Яндекса и Гугла сделали то, что Вы сейчас скачиваете.

Вопрос: Что такое внешний updater и, все таки, как он влиял на функционал?
Ответ: Внешний updater - это отдельный exe-файл mfgo_update.exe, из самой Го-программы он не запускается. Данный updater скачивает все файлы без необходимости переустановки программы. На деле он у меня каждый раз выкачивал только mfgo.exe, независимо от того - оригинал или пропатченный. Возможно выкачивает и другие файлы, если их удалить, только данную возможность я не тестировал. В данном случае mfgo.exe является пропатченным, и благодаря запущенному mfgo_update.exe может затереться, естественно вся активация коту под хвост.

Вопрос: Мультиплеер работает?
Ответ: Честно - не тестировал, так что ничего сказать не cмогу.

Вопрос: Будет ли русская версия?
Ответ: Это вряд-ли))

Вопрос: Есть ли тут озвучка?
Ответ: Ее нет.

Вопрос: Будешь ли обновлять эту раздачу?
Ответ: По мере возможности.
