О фильме:
Основная сюжетная линия фильма - история расследования специальным агентом ФБР Дейлом Купером загадочного убийства юной школьницы Лоры Палмер, которая, казалось бы, была примерна во всех отношениях. Позднее откроется, что между видимым и реальным была невероятная пропасть. История начинается с известия о находке обнаженного тела, завернутого в полиэтилен и выброшенного волнами на берег озера. В ходе расследования перед внимательными взглядами агента Купера, шерифа Трумена и его помощников проходят разные жители Твин Пикс. Постепенно зритель открывает для себя поражающее многообразие сторон жизни этого, на первый взгляд, тихого и мирного городка: от драматической романтики до леденящего, мистического ужаса. Режиссер картины, Дэвид Линч, позднее скажет в одном из интервью: «Твин Пикс - везде. Это не место. Это состояние".
